Georeferencing Free Sheet Cadastral Map | How to Geo reference Free Sheet Cadastral Map | Cadastral Map in Arc Gis
Hello friends in this today article I present to you, How to Georeference the free sheet cadastral map.
As we know the grid sheet map can be easily georeferenced because in each corner of the grid sheet map there are coordinates. We can georeference the grid sheet map by using the coordinate itself present in the map, but in the free sheet map, there are no coordinates to georeference free sheet Cadastral map, due to this it became a very difficult and complicated task so It should be managed carefully.
How to Georeference Free Sheet Cadastral Map
We can still geo reference-free sheet map by cadastral field verification but it is time-consuming we have to build lots of control points, maintain the strength of the figure and after we have to match those ground control Coordinates to the freesheet cadastral map, hence it is lengthy and time-consuming, the best alternatives to georeference the free sheet cadastral map is from the arbitrary method of georeferencing.
In an arbitrary method of georeferencing, you will need 6 lines of code written in the text file also you have to name the text file name with the same name of your cadastral free sheet map and you have to locate both text files and cadastral map in the same folder. In this method first of all we have to calculate Cell size of the cadastral map to calculate the cell size of the cadastral map there are two factors to remember, one is the scale factor and another one is the DPI of your cadastral image, to calculate the cell size of your cadastral map please watch my tutorial which is present below.
After you calculate the Cell Size, then you are ready to write the Six lines of code to scale your cadastral freesheet map in ArcGIS. the first line of code is cell size, the second line of code is X Rotation, the third line of code is Y rotation, the fourth line of code is the negative value of cell size, The fifth line of code is false eating, and the sixth line of code is False Northing.
